12oz handmade, handcarved ceramic mug
Handle design inspired by the dragon heads commonly affixed to the prow of a Viking-age longship. A symbol of protection from the elements and the enemy; the infamous dragon head led many fearless warriors through harsh travels across the open seas.
Some were led to victory; returning home with treasures and tales of new land.
Some were led to an unwaiveringly dreadful fate; lost to the ocean depths below.
The Drakkar was the largest ship in the fleet; often carrying the nobleman, king or cheiftan. The dragon head carving was thought to appear fearsome to the enemy, and it was easily removeable when sailing for peaceful intentions; such as trade.
